Introduction
Bridge load test is done to establish the relation between theoretical design and actual load carrying capacity of bridge span. Actual deflection of span girders should be within the theoretical estimated deflection of test span girders. The test is an mandatory requirement of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, the government of India. The test is the necessary requirement of bridge/structure rehabilitation. The load test is also done to evaluate the load carrying capacity of older structures in order to evaluate the life of the structure.
